Studio Ceramics
Vessels shaped by hand, finished by fire.
Small-batch stoneware thrown in a hillside studio — wood-fired glazes, quiet forms, and no two pieces alike. Seasonal collections and open commissions.
Current Collections
- Ash Glaze Dinnerware — Plates, bowls, and cups for slow meals. Made to order.
- Moon Jars — Large sculptural vessels, one firing per season. Editions of 6.
- Commissions — Bespoke pieces for homes, restaurants, and galleries. Open.
Process
- 01 — Throw: Each vessel is thrown from locally dug stoneware clay, trimmed by hand, and dried slowly over two weeks.
- 02 — Glaze: Glazes are mixed in the studio from wood ash, feldspar, and iron — recipes refined over a decade of firings.
- 03 — Fire: Work is fired in a wood kiln over 36 hours. The flame path marks every piece differently; nothing is repeatable.
Seconds and kiln experiments are released twice a year to the mailing list.
